Ladson, SC Pastor, Dale Richardson, Facing Four Charges of Rape and Three Counts of Kidnapping and Lets Not Forget the Firearm Oh and the Fact That Some of It Was On Church Property

Freedom Free Will Baptist Church pastor Dale Richardson has been relieved of his position as Pastor of the church.

“Our leadership was shocked to learn of the allegations made against Dale Richardson. According to our statement of faith, we believe that the misconduct alleged against him is forbidden by God. At this time, the Eastern Conference Executive Committee and Ordaining Council have decided to suspend Rev. Richardson’s credentials pending the final outcome of the investigation.
“We plan to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in their on]going investigation. Our prayers are with all involved. As Free Will Baptists who are a part of the National Association of Free Will Baptists we believe that the highest authority is the local church; therefore, we are not denominationally connected in local church government and oversight.
“Our prayers are with the Freedom Free Will Baptist Church leadership as they make decisions and lead their church during this time.”
Richardson is accused of kidnapping at least three women. Authorities say two of those women were sexually assaulted in a trailer on church grounds off Barnhill Road.
Richardson is already in jail charged with the sexual assaults of two women and another kidnapping in which there was no assault.
In two of the incidents, authorities allege the 46-year-old preacher gave the victims a ride and when they tried to get out of his vehicle, drew a gun, bound them and covered their heads.
He is alleged to have taken them to a trailer behind the Free Will Baptist Church in a rural area between Ladson and Summerville.
Authorities allege Richardson then drove the women, both described as prostitutes, to a wooded area where he told them not to look back or he would shoot them.
Richardson was arrested last month after one victim reported her attack. Since then, authorities say victims identified him in connection with the four other cases.
The church still has Richardson listed as their pastor on their official website.
