Pastor Jamal Bryant preaching on “a bipartisan blessing”.
Sermon notes:
Subject: A Bipartisan Blessing
1 Samuel 3:2-5
Sir Isaac Newton has a theory that suggest that two objects can’t occupy the same space at the same time.
As a theologue I vehemently deny the notion of Newtons theory.
Newton does not understand the multidimensional nature of God’s word.
When there is a word that comes from God it comes in two parts.
The word of God first comes in syllables. The syllables are formed into sentences.
When that word from God comes through your ear gate, at the same time, it floods your mind.
You have one word that comes in your ear that is now in your head.
God will give you a word in 2 dimensions.
The enemy doesn’t want you to see the word that God has spoken.
Eli represents the old guard of the church.
Eli has been preaching for a great number of years.
Eli is tired and wants to go to sleep.
While Eli is lying down, Samuel keeps hearing a voice.
This is a reflection of the division in the church.
One group wants to be comfortable, while there is another group that wants a sign.
The group that wants a sign keeps disrupting the group that wants to sleep.
Eli is a conservative.
Samuel is a liberal.
Eli is the end of Ruler Priest.
Samuel will be the end of Judges.
You need a Priest and a Judge together to produce a King.
God is bringing two sides together who have nothing in common.
Your season of compromise is over.
Your next blessing is going to come because you refuse to compromise.
I know it is old fashion but I still believe in character.
Your about to work with people who do not want to work with you.
You are in the world but you are not of the world.
The marketplace is outside of the sanctuary.
The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the just.
