Probably best known for his song, Rough Side Of The Mountain featuring Rev. Janice Brown. Bishop FC Barnes has gone on to Glory as of 2:30 July 11, 2011. Funeral arrangements and more information regarding his passing to come.

Thanks to Google Play, I only recently became aware of Reverend Barnes and his music. His songs + music should last for all eternity! From the very first song I heard by this man he earned a placed on my list of the Greatest Of All Gospel Singers.

My prayers go out to the Barnes Family. My God give you the strength to go through the loss of your loved one. A father is something that can never be replaced, I have experienced the loss myself of both my parents and only God can help to through such a loss. Bishop Barnes will be missed by many but also remembered for his love of music and carrying out God’s word that he gave me each time I was in his present.
One of my fondest memories of him is when he visit me at Anne’s Donuts on Pine Street weekly. He would come into the Anne’s Donuts Shop and order two dozens of glazed donuts, 2 because he would start talking about the Lord and how blessed we are to have him within our lives while eating a dozen before he left he left the shop.
He always had a smile on his face and praised God all the time. I will truly miss him but I know that he is in heaven now still carrying on God’s work.
