Is Every Sin Equal and How Should We Treat Those Who Have Sinned?

In this day and age every crime is not treated the same. A person who has committed murder will not face the same charge as someone that has stolen a pack of balloons from the store, but as a Christian when we look at sins are we judging them according to the bible or human society? The Bible says in Mathew 12:31″Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.” So when you hear of the different crimes being committed do you believe that different people deserve different punishments or should they be forgiven equally and all be punished the same. When you are constantly hearing about different punishments it is hard to say that they should not be punished as harshly as another person because of what you have been taught in school, popular TV shows and in the news.
Should a man who steals a piece of cake from the bakery shop be treated the same as someone who committed a mass murder, or as Christians should we treat them any differently than we do our best friend? Or are there some sins that are just unforgivable? The Bible says “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you”-Ephesians 4:32. So why do Christians treat or look at people differently depending on the sin they have committed if we are to treat everyone the same and love everyone equally? By doing this are we also sinning or do different sins deserve different treatment? Although it may be hard to stand against many for what is right or wrong, as Christians you should love all just as the Lord does.
