“I have been through storms and my faith has always sustained me,” Long said in a statement read by attorney Craig Gillen. “… Let me be clear: the charges against me and New Birth are false. I have devoted my life to helping others, and these false allegations hurt me deeply, but my faith is strong and the truth will emerge.”
Long said he denies “each and every one of these ugly charges” and will respond to his congregation on Sunday.

Lawyer states that it was his call to cancel Tom Joyner as he Craig Gillen (lawyer) felt “he would not have control”.
When asked by Roland Martin, a syndicated columnist and CNN political analyst, “why the lawsuit was on Tuesday, it’s now Thursday and he is not addressing anyone until Sunday? If it was me I would be screaming to high heaven that it wasn’t me.
Gillen stated,”If you are going to blame anyone for that blame me I am the Lawyer.”
He then goes on to tell us information that we know about the histories of the gentlemen who filed the allegations. He stated if someone made these allegations towards you what would you do? Gillen replied to himself “What you would do is go and get a lawyer like me and if you get him you might as well listen to him.”

“What’s the motive of putting a ski mask on your face and breaking into someones office? What’s the motive? Money”, said Gillen
He then abruptly interrupts the interview stating he apologiges but he “has to run to get his daughters on the bus.”
He was asked one more question, what communication have you had with their (plaintiffs) lawyer?
To which he hastily responded that the only thing (communication) they have had was to send her a letter stating he was sending a letter to the State for improper behavior. He then ended the interview and said
“11 am Sunday at New Birth”
According to CNN -“The lawyers have made the decision that due to the third lawsuit, Bishop Long (will) not do interviews or make statements tomorrow,” Art Franklin said Wednesday night. “We apologize for any inconvenience. Bishop Long will make his first statement from the pulpit on Sunday.”
