I’m not certain if this story has been flooding National airways or just the area news here in NC. However for the last six days a five year old little girl by the name of Shaniya Davis has been missing. There have been three arrest, one person had the charges dropped and was released. The other two are still under arrest. One of whom unfortunately is the little girls mother, here is the information that has been released so far.
“Late Saturday, Shaniya’s mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, was charged with human trafficking, felony child abuse – prostitution, filing a false police report and resist, delay or obstruct an officer. She is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $51,000 bond.
Chance said that arrest documents say Davis “knowingly provide(d) Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and she “permit(ted) an act of prostitution.”
The other person is being held on kidnapping charges.
My reason for posting this is because they are still searching for Shaniya, they will resume looking for her in the Fayetteville – Sanford area of NC tomorrow morning. While I don’t know this little girl, as a mother it pains my heart every time I see anything about this story. However I know that prayer can and will change things, so I am asking that everyone say or even post a prayer for this little girl as none of God’s children deserve to have such a horrible thing happen to them. I believe that God hears our prayers. I pray that the rescuers are successful in finding her. I know she must be afraid and hopefully there is some way that she will know that we are praying for her safety and rescue. I also pray that there is an Angel over her to help comfort her.
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven”
Matthew 18:6&10
