“Detroit, MI. – The Nu Omega Chapter Detroit of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will sponsor “Joyful Noise, Gospel Music Experience” at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Detroit Opera House, 1526 Broadway.
The concert will feature Grammy and Stellar Award winner Dorinda Clark Cole, Stellar Award winner Tye Tribbett & G.A., and a professionally choreographed praise dance competition.
The Men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Nu Omega Chapter have been serving Metro-Detroit since 1923, with numerous communities, political, and social programs.
“We are confident we are designing a new innovative, explosive way to present gospel on stage,” says Marquis Sagnia, co-chairman of Joyful Noise committee. “We want to connect our organization to the church communities and cultural experiences to promote quality family entertainment for Detroit.”
The Gospel Music Experience will create a diverse musical production that represents music from a gospel cultural background with no age barriers and experience lifting a Joyful Noise through praise.
The Praise Dance Competition finalist will begin with an open audition throughout the Metro-Detroit at 7:30 p.m. March 22 at Greater Miller Memorial Church of God in Christ, 4439 Nine Mile Road in Warren. Four finalists will be selected that night to perform during the Joyful Noise Gospel Music Experience, where one finalist will be awarded that evening.
